We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Early Years practitioner to take the Lead role in our Baby Room at Boundstone Nursery School.

In this role, you will oversee the care and development of babies aged 0-2 years, ensuring their safety, happiness, and overall well-being. As well as being Early Years Educator to a group of children, you will lead and direct others within the baby room to ensure that the highest standards of care and safety are always met and that children’s development is optimised.
Key Responsibility
- Implement a secure routine to ensure a calm, organised atmosphere in the baby room, where babies’ needs are met.
- Lead and inspire a small team of childcare practitioners in delivering high-quality care and education.
- Develop and implement engaging experiences, based on children’s fascinations and interests to promote their learning and development.
- Be proactive in researching and suggesting changes and improvements to systems and processes to ensure the best possible provision.
- Ensure the safety and hygiene of the baby room, following all health and safety procedures.
- Build strong relationships with children and their families, providing regular updates on children’s progress and development.
- Monitor and assess individual children’s needs and progress to plan for their next stage of development, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Qualification & Experience Required
(Essential)
- Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Significant experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for early years education and child development.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
(Desirable)
- EYTS/EYPS (or equivalent)
- Early Years degree or other Level 5+ qualification
- Experience leading a team
- Driving licence
How to apply
Working hours are Monday-Friday, term time only. Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9-5pm Tuesday/Thursday 8-4pm. There is a 45 min lunchbreak and one paid lunch meeting each week.
